Who we are

Founded in 2016, we are a co-educational A-level and secondary, day and boarding school in Lekki II. Bringing innovation and education technology into the classroom. Our students collaborate, think critically and develop into adept problem solvers, capable of shaping our tomorrow. Square College was born out of our education consultancy, which noticed a trend amongst the numerous students and organisations we worked with, across a 20 year period.

Small starts

Square started out of a converted family home in Allen, Ikeja, Lagos. The first official student of Square, now a young man, David, came to us for exam preparation and practice with our small team of tutors. We worked to grow from then, rallying for more students, going to educational conferences and events and meeting parents and students alike. Eventually, we outgrew our mainland campus as alot of our students were Lagos Island centred.

Across the pond

Square uprooted from the mainland and moved solely to Lekki Phase II, right before the school year of 2019/2020. This was an extremely rapid transition as we had to get classes, equipment, edtech and so much more ready. It has been a blast to teach and reach out to new students across the board and the Square Family will be ready for anything the next 10 years brings to the table.

Fundamentals

Square College is dedicated to raising students who think independently, act with intent and can one one day be the decision makers who will inadvertently bring change to Nigeria. We engage students with ideas and innovations in order to develop their dreams and interests, whatever they may be. Finally, students at Square meet, interact and establish themselves with students from different backgrounds, religions and ideals; at Square College, no one is boxed in.

The increasing standard that comes with pathway certifications and further education, with insufficient advice, wrong qualifications and really a general lack of direction, a lot of work and time was put into setting things right. We’re taking our experience and partnerships to bring a fresh perspective on how to teach, how to learn and how to progress.

It took 20 years of gathering and building reputable educational relationships with organisations overseas. It has allowed us to learn and share educational values, structures and processes to bring a 360 degree learning experience that will be fresh and different but fundamentally deliver results. We have students all over the world and we can’t wait to do more.
