The approach to both subjects is one and the same, but implementation differ greatly. Both subjects emphasize the importance of expression, subjectivity and style. As long as there is a canvas for your subject to exist, Art can be anywhere. Design is the same, but it must fall within the physical limitations that shape space and time. You can’t design a time machine without knowing how a time machine works.

There is space for Artists now more than ever, with being able to get your art into the world with just a click of the button. Artist’s find themselves in animation, graphic design, product design and architecture.

Future in Art

It’s important that progress is being made in the art industry. But what about Art that as already been made. Art restoration and preservation is becoming an increasing important aspect of the art industry as a lot of the art we know today, are hundreds of years old.

Today’s designers

Design is around us, from the chairs we sit on to the desk we work on. It is responsible for ideas becoming a reality. Design allows individuals to optimise, retro-fit and test principles/ideas which must conform to real world standards. Designers may not just be in physical drawings, but in system design, production design and process design.

Future in Design

Designers will work hand in hand with engineers, scientists and analysts to create the most efficient idea come to life. Without the designing process, creating ideas would take much longer than it does, due to all the errors and mistakes designing irons out.
